Weapon Handling System
The Weapon Handling System consists of Weapon Storage and the Embarkation System:
The Weapon Storage provides the means to safely store weapons such as torpedoes or missiles within the submarine’s pressure hull while also providing appropriate protection against impact and shock. The Storage System also provides the means to move weapons vertically and horizontally for subsequent loading and discharge.
The Embarkation System provides the means to safely move weapons into and out of the submarine. Embarkation commences with lifting the weapon from the quay or platform and concludes with securing it in the Weapon Storage Room.
